A Man is Only as Good as How Well He Can Lead

Thanks to Gregory Morgan ’10 for participating in this semester’s alumni Q&A:

What is your favorite Beta tradition? Why?
My favorite Beta tradition is/was pledge education nights. It allowed me to get to know the new members, teach them what I knew, and allowed them to get to know me. That starts and builds the friendships and the brotherhood.

What do you miss most about attending Ohio State?
What I miss most about attending OSU is seeing, hanging out with, studying with, partying with, and just being around my brothers.

In what ways is the fraternity experience still relevant for today’s young man?
Fraternity life teaches you how to grow up, how to live in a large house with many different personalities and make it work; just like everyone will have to do once they enter the working world after college.

In what ways is the fraternity experience still relevant for today’s young man?
A man is only as good as how well he can lead. Beta taught me how to take many ideas and roll them into one that worked. As well as taught me how to encourage others, and that’s by my own actions.

For those brothers who are tech savvy in all aspects of the social network, imagine going through initiation again as a user of Twitter. What 140 characters would you tweet to describe the experience?
Please don’t turn initiation into a twitter event, but I would say… “Get off your phone, it won’t give you the insights that you need to learn and live by”.

What have you done since graduation?
I’m still working for the Kellogg Company. I will be Six Sigma Black Belt Certified by June 2013. I live in Chicago and my pledge brothers need to come visit MORE!!!
