ACT NOW if you’ve been waiting to make your charitable IRA rollover gift this year as the benefits for 2015 end on December 31, 2015. The Charitable IRA Rollover has been permanently extended and made retroactive to December 31, 2014. Gifts transferred directly from your IRA to Michigan Delta Chi at any point during 2015 will qualify as a rollover gift.
If you own a traditional IRA and are age 70½ or over as of December 31, 2015, a charitable IRA rollover is a tax-savvy and easy way to support your Michigan Delta Chi Chapter.
Your benefits:
● The Charitable IRA Rollover can be used to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (up to $100,000) this year.
● The rollover amount is not subject to income tax.
● Gifts will not be subject to charitable gift limitations.
● Rollovers may be used to satisfy outstanding pledges.
Instruct your IRA custodian or administrator to cut a check payable to the Delta Chi Education Foundation with the notation “for the Michigan e-chi account.” Instruct your custodian to send the check to the Delta Chi Education Foundation, P O Box 2113, Iowa City, IA 52244-2113. Also send an email to John Levinson ([email protected]), communicating to him the amount of the donation to ensure it gets credited to the Michigan Chapter account.
