Construction Has Started BUT …

On August 17, 171 cubic yards of concrete were pumped to build the foundation footings for the new house. CLICK HERE to see more photos. Next comes the foundation walls, lower-level steel and masonry, then the main-level floor slabs. The latest schedule shows the roof completed by year-end. That’s the good news. The revised estimate indicates the cost will be $3.0-3.1 million due to site conditions and lack of competitive bids due to high levels of construction activity. John Levinson ’73 has secured a $250K increase in the construction loan to $2.0 million. Now, we really need your help to finish the last $146K of our now $1.1 million campaign. To those who have pledged, thank you! To the brothers who may be sitting on the sidelines to see if we are REALLY going to build a new chapter house, please CLICK HERE to make your pledge. With spending rapidly increasing, funds are needed this year and early next year. Donations totaling $10K or more are tax deductible. Thank you for your support!
