What a year it has been for Michigan ΔX! Associate member classes saw 29 men for fall and 15 in the spring with 27 fall associates became actives. A house of 100 actives is possible for 2016—an all-time record! Running the chapter was a bit more difficult via utilizing the temporary house on Oxford, but doable. Currently all 34 beds in the new house are under lease. The actives are really excited to move in and begin life in the new chapter house with meal service.
Academically, ΔX was in the middle of all IFC fraternities, but the fall associate class was 5th of 29 houses. Michigan had the highest fall GPA of all ΔX chapters in Region VI. For philanthropy, Michigan received the Region VI award for the most donated to the Jimmy V Foundation for the past two years. Additionally, $15K was raised for Marco Madness and the chapter participated in a campus wide U of M project that raised $60K for Autism Alliance of Michigan. The chapter was the 2015 IFC Broomball champs, made it to the 2nd round playoffs in IM basketball.
In net, all the alumni brothers can celebrate an outstanding year for the active chapter. It’s the best year ever for Michigan ΔX! Clearly, our investment in a new chapterhouse is well founded. This is a most exciting time for all Michigan Delta Chis. The actives look forward to showing off the new chapter house at the fall reunion on October 1st and welcome all alumni.
