If you have visited the new Chapter House, you’ve experienced first hand the beautiful new structure. Now, a group of loyal brothers lead by Al Knaus, Keith Hellems, and Jim Fuger are going to make the house our Delta Chi home. Years ago, these brothers began to collect composites and other Michigan Delta Chi artifacts to decorate the new house. Many original composites have been saved from the old house and several have been donated by our brothers.
The composite restoration project will professionally mount original (and if necessary digitized reproductions) of composites (14”W X 11”H) on the walls of the first floor (running from the dining room to the first floor suite). This will truly mark our Chapter’s return to campus, and add our long U of M history to the Chapter House.
The project is underway; however, we need your help to make it a success. Brother Jim Fuger ‘82 has generously put up $1,000 as a matching gift to help raise funds to complete this effort. For every dollar you donate, brother Fuger will match your gift! Please make your donation today by sending a check payable to Michigan Delta Chi to Alumni Corporation Treasurer John Levinson at 8770 Oak Beach Drive, Commerce Township, MI 48382. We need your help to bring back Delta Chi history to the Chapter House!
Do you have a composite from your active time in Delta Chi? Are you willing to share it for the restoration project? If so, please contact brother Keith Hellems at [email protected], or Alan Knaus at [email protected]. There are several years we are missing and would really like to use originals rather than digitized reproductions for the wall. Please consider both the donation of a composite you have and a cash donation of $100 to help frame it and make the project a success. Thank you from all the brothers serving on the Alumni Relations Team.
