1705 Hill Street Enhancements

Dear Brother,

Together, as a Brotherhood, we have accomplished so much in the past ten years. Your generosity, totaling more than $1 million, rebuilt 1705 Hill Street and continues to advance our goal of making the new chapter house a true home for today’s Delta Chi’s. 

Why is this effort to enhance the new house so important?

I know we share the understanding that a vital element of the Delta Chi undergraduate experience is the House, living and working alongside fellow Brothers day-to-day. As we enjoyed the familiar and unique aspects of the former house—the drinking room, middle earth, composites on the wall, the “wedge’” of wood by the fireplace, the out-of-tune piano in the basement, the front porch—we must recognize the importance of helping to create a space for today’s undergraduates and for returning alumni that honors our proud history and traditions and makes our wonderful new house truly feel like home.

In 2020, support from alumni like you made a difference for undergraduates as they navigated through the covid-19 pandemic.

• Contributions covered the cost to install new outdoor picnic tables which, as you would expect, have been exceedingly popular.
• In addition, alumni giving helped to upgrade the Wi-Fi system, a huge priority with our active Brothers taking so many classes online.

What’s next and how can you be part of it?

Delta Chi is a lifelong experience and 1705 Hill Street is always your home. As alumni, we have a responsibility to look after it for future generations. The current area of focus is the History and Heritage Wall project, featuring all our available composites, to be located on the first floor. Composites deserve and, through this effort, will regain a position of honor in the House.. Together, let’s work toward two goals: 1) raise around $10,000 to fund this project to completion and 2) fill in the gaps for missing years by submitting our own composites and other historic Delta Chi items.

Every gift makes a difference in this effort to transform our new house into a home, built on Delta Chi’s values and traditions, ready to welcome future generations of Brothers and returning alumni Brothers alike.
