The Alumni Association of the Michigan Chapter of Delta Chi will be hosting this year’s annual reunion and chapter-house dedication on the weekend of September 30-October 2. This will be your best opportunity to reconnect with your classmates and relive those good old college days. Please contact your classmates and ask them to join you for these festivities, we will have a good turnout for each decade from the ’50s to the ’10s.
Friday Night: Early arrivals will gather in the Flex Room of the new chapter house for pizza and beverages. After, we’ll get out the DX songbooks and sing those favorites, as in times past.
Saturday Morning/Afternoon: A buffet luncheon will be served at 1705 Hill Street at 11:30 a.m., after which we will conduct our new chapter-house dedication. The fundraising and construction teams will describe their respective roles in making the new chapter house a reality. And the actives will tell us about living there. We’ll also unveil the Honor Roll containing the names of those brothers who have donated $1000 or more to make this state-of-the-art fraternity house the best one on the Michigan campus. Ticket holders can hike or drive to the Big House and watch the Wolverines overwhelm the Wisconsin Badgers. Others can enjoy the game on large-screen TVs in the Flex Room.
Saturday Evening: In the event the football game is scheduled at 12 noon, the buffet and dedication ceremony will begin at 5:30 after the game. Otherwise, you are welcome to return to the house after the game to celebrate our victory and reconnect with your classmates.
Sunday Morning: We’ll gather for brunch at the Chelsea Comfort Inn. After, we’ll play golf at UofM’s Blue Course weather permitting. A morning tee time is planned, so our out-of-town Brothers can catch an airplane back home.
Recommended Lodging: Hotels in the Ann Arbor area are largely booked for football weekends–and are unusually expensive, if available. However, we have reserved 50 rooms at the Comfort Inn in nearby Chelsea at the special rate of $149/night. Please make your reservations soon by calling 734-433-8000 and referencing “Delta Chi Fraternity Alumni”.
Football Tickets: It is very likely football tickets will be limited due to the resurgence of the Michigan football program and the Big Ten rival Wisconsin.
