On May 9,our venerable 109-year-old house saw 43 brothers and 13 guests gather on the front lawn for the new chapter house groundbreaking ceremonies. CLICK HERE to see the pictures. This event marked the start of the Michigan Chapter’s third chapter house. The dream of the Alumni Association, Alumni Board of Trustees, Alumni Corp and hundreds of brothers will become a reality by August 2016 and will be ready for the return of fall classes. All the alumni and active brothers owe a huge debt of gratitude to all who have made this possible. We have raised 93% of the required $1 million thanks to the generosity of 135 brothers. Alpha Design+Build has completed the design work for filing of the building permits. A construction loan for $2 million has been secured from the Ann Arbor Bank. Demolition work has been delayed due to the need to abate unexpected asbestos-containing plaster; we will keep you updated.
