Paul Majchrzak ’75: “How Could I Not Accept After That Warm Welcome?”

Brother Paul Majchrzak ’75 was already fairly familiar with the Delta Chi house through his brother, Ken Majchrzak ’66, who was a Delta Chi alumnus. After showing up to a pledge event one night, a couple of brothers pulled Paul aside for some quality bonding via ‘Wales Tales’, and Paul knew that Delta Chi was for him. He continues to get together with his brothers and has plenty of fond memories from within the chapter. He is doing well now and is running a multimillion dollar business unit within a three billion dollar company. Click below for Paul’s full story in his own words.

Kenneth Radlick ’87: “In the end, the men I met convinced me [to join]”

Brother Kenneth Radlick ’87, sometimes known as “The Big Kahuna”, has plenty of fond memories from Delta Chi, but nothing compares to the road trips he took with some of his fellow brothers, especially the ones to his parent’s cottage. Interestingly enough, Brother Radlick didn’t walk into Delta Chi wanting to join, but said that the men he met convinced him to in the end. Click below for a brief Q&A with Brother Radlick about his time in the chapter.

Paul Van Gasse ’06: “We were diverse, tolerant and different from the other fraternities.”

Brother Paul Van Gasse ’06 takes pride in the fact that his class ‘re-booted’ the chapter and still gets a chuckle out of the fact that new members study his class’ names for AMC. After some great years in Delta Chi Michigan and making several lifelong friendships, Paul married his wife, Nikki, which he notes is one of his greatest accomplishments. Together, they had a son, Clay, who had a rough start but has since overcome. Click below for an interesting (and comical) Q&A with Paul.

In Memoriam: Brother Martin Nelson

Martin Nelson, Honorary Brother initiated in 1988, passed away in September of 2015 after a year-long battle with leukemia at University of Michigan Hospital. My father was a well-known fixture with the house: manning the grill and singing in the drinking room during homecomings, hosting associate members at my parents’ home for retreats as well […]

Brother George Robertson ’59: “Most Important Were the Many Close Friendships Established and Maintained.”

Brother George Robertson ’59 has many fond memories of his time in Delta Chi at U of M, but it’s the great friendships that he’s made over the years that stand out most to him. After numerous job changes and moving around, he finally retired, but found that he does not “retire well” after all and decided to keep himself busy with a residential real estate business he joined. Click below to hear Brother Robertson’s full story in his own words.

Brother Craig Nastanski ’97: Success Comes From Hard Work and Seizing Opportunities

Brother Craig “Naz” Nastanski ’97 has a “no regrets” attitude and says that, so far, it’s working for him. He claims that he obtained a successful career and financial success based off of years of preparation and hard work. However, some of his greatest successes, such as moving to Hong Kong, his wife and his children, were obtained by seizing unexpected opportunities. Brother Nastanski has plenty of fond memories from his time in the chapter and still stays in touch with a few brothers, despite the distance. Click below for a Q&A with Brother Nastanski and to reconnect with him.
